The Royal Air Force (RAF) Gift Collection

The Royal Air Force or RAF is the United Kingdom’s aerial warfare force, admired worldwide for their skill, dedication and bravery.

Formed in 1918 towards the end of WW1, the RAF became the first independent air force in the world.

Keeping pace with the stratospheric transformation in aerial technology, the RAF has stayed at the cutting edge encompassing both helicopters and fixed wing fighter aircraft.

Working closely with the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm and the British Army’s Army Air Corps they provide air power and support in all UK military campaigns and operations. 

The RAF also plays a huge role in reconnaissance support for the Military. In 2018 the RAF expanded their ability to deliver up to date, high resolution imagery, by launching ‘a constellation of space satellites’.
This new development perfectly reflects their motto Per Ardua ad Astra, meaning Through Adversity to The Stars.
